Barbara Sanchez Kane is a Mexican fashion designer. In her collection, it focuses on two subjects. One side we have the feminism side of the Mexican society and on the other side we have the hate of Donald trump towards Mexicans and wants to separate it by creating a wall. Designer’s father is a Mexican and mother is an American so she made the collection “new citizen” that is citizen Sanchez Kane, that subsume both the American and Mexican cultures.
As the stereotypes in Mexico has changes now women are more powerful, and now the men are fighting for their basic rights, trying to get back the identity of what they used to have and find a balance in a new female dominated Mexican society.
Sanchez Kane uses her art for a new breed, which is misty-eyed, to find peacefully balanced equality, she used her designers as a way to communicate and over here we use certain language to communicate with others. The prints noticed in the collection refer to the Mexican heritage and political emotions of Mexico. How can you really miss the leather shoes and the detailed print of a woman on the pants?
