Art and fashion are just convoluted, models are surrounded in bright, tropical colors, with one of the artist designer’s paintings that are used in his collection, Ayushman Mitra doesn’t really paint on his fabrics, but his artwork is something which is highlighted when he gets those on the clothes, process of art is linear for Bobo Calcutta.

“The idea stems from a cause that I feel strongly for and then I convey it in terms of the painting and then the designs. I call Bobo Calcutta a pretty protest,” explains Mitra for him the paintings comes first and they develop a series out of the paintings he makes.

Archetypal Picassoesque faces with Jamini Roy eyes finds an expression in most of his works, he conveyed a message the outcry against censorship of art, abstracts, two figures which intimate embrace. Picasso’s breaking figure influenced by Frida Kahlo, Mitra said, “Frida, because of her audacity and how playful and dark she can be… From Picasso, there’s actually one particular work – The Weeping Woman – that inspires me. It’s amazing how someone can break form like that.”

Even if you check out his Instagram page, he has posted most of his abstract paintings and give prints to the clothes same as the painting, how can someone not wear a piece of Bengali Picasso.
