#HGAcademy: The new source of Creative Learning

By Diya Ahuja, 16 April, 2020

Homegrown is a youth media company powered by an online publication, a creative agency, an events arm and a talent management vertical.

It has created a space that is non-linear and unshackled from stereotypes both online and offline. Homegrown is becoming one of the most influential publications in the country – always at the frontline of creating, curating and cultivating change.

In hard times like these, homegrown has come up with the concept of #HGAcademy. At a time where we’re confined, the only thing that we can work around is creativity. Homegrown had this idea of evolving their platform into a space that could inspire generations to believe that their career paths aren’t really limited to the ones constructed by society. There is a huge space out there, in the world, where the creative industries are reaching heights.

“Homegrown as a brand has always stood for responding to the Indian youth’s needs, and to this end, we bring to you HG Academy, to teach you everything your school didn’t. As we spend our days inside our homes and within ourselves, HGAcademy with its commune of creative thought leaders and pioneers will teach you the basics that you might not get access to elsewhere. We hope for it to evolve into a culture of creation, collaboration, discovery through an exchange of thoughts & ideas.”

The coming weeks will see digital festivals, skill-building sessions, new personal & professional strategies and similar efforts towards connecting you to the world of creators to learn and be inspired. The aim is to deep-dive into the creative process, new ways of learning, re-imagination of old ways and experience and learn more.

Live sessions are held with particular expertise and people can ask queries regarding anything they want to know related to that particular career field. The sessions that have been held so far cover from mastering an e-sports career to building a conscious and sustainable fashion brand for the future. They have a whole highlight section in case one wants to get back to any of the classes that had been held earlier.
