Trending: Photo shoots during Pandemic

By Diya Ahuja, 16 April, 2020

Quarantine is making a huge statement out there in the world. Creativity is important. People need to sustain themselves at all costs. Working from home is opening so many different sorts of ways that one would have never imagined.

The new concept of photoshoots over video calls is the new trend that is going on. Huge publishing houses such as Vogue Italia are setting an example out there for the people. A series of pictures were posted by Bella Hadid(@bellahadid) on Saturday, 11 April. The styling and the source of lighting were also done through facetime.

A lot of Indian photographers started working on this a week before the post by Bella Hadid. A model and a mix media artist, Toshada Uma(@toshadaa) from Goa, India, also posted some of her pictures on Instagram talking about how this concept gave her a reason to dress up at home. Why will anybody leave that wonderful opportunity?

This series of pictures were photographed by Ominesh Das (@aesthetic_imperfectly) over skype.

Another amazing photographer, Martina Matencio(@lalovenenoso), who lives in and works in Barcelona posted a set of pictures on Instagram. Those were posted on 3rd April. She wrote a beautiful caption with the picture that said, “These pixels are the marks of what’s wrong with us. We are all touched by social distancing. But we can still feel with the pixels on our skin.”

For more updates on how creativity is giving people a way to survive in this quarantine, stay connected and stay tuned.
