The Instagram account has over 170k followers (@tussenkunstenquarantaine) which translates into “between art and quarantine” in dutch. Is flooded by thousands of submissions all around the globe including Iran, Norway, Canada, Argentina, and the US. within a week.
The project is loved by Museums which includes Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Louvre and many more. Rijksmuseum also promoted it on its FaceBook page and the Getty Museum in Los Angeles has challenged its followers to recreate artworks from its own collection
The rules are simple, Mimic a famous artwork using not more than 3 objects from your home.
